Free Hand French Manicure

I was really eager to 'french' my nails but I couldn't find the guide stickers or tape so I did it freehand.

I'm quite happy about how the left hand came out but no so much the left. oops!

I used BYS Matte White, OPI's Bubble bath and OPI's Top coat.

My new fav foundation - Mac Studio Fix Fluid

I have finally found a better foundation for my skin than Revlon's Colorstay. I bought Mac Studio Fix Fluid and it is perfect for my skin.

I have oily acne prone skin and needs a lot of looking after. The Mac foundation has really good coverage and does not make me oily though out the day.

Finally I am in love with my foundation and my skin when I have it on. Definitely recommended if your skin type is similar to mine.

I got the pump as well because it really helps me use the right amount of product and helps the foundation from drying out too quick.

OPI Ate Berries in the Canaries

I bought this beautiful berry colour polish the other day and just could not wait to try it out. I didn't even have my false nails on.

Then I added some glitter to my ring finger.

New OPI's in my collections

I went to a beauty supply shop today and OPI polishes were cheaper than normal so I just had to buy one or three!

I saw the Nicki Minaj collection and they were nice but I just wasn't feeling it. I went in there knowing that I wanted a navy colour and a new top coat. So I got Road House Blues, Bubble Bath and the top coat. I haven't tried them yet but I will definitely show you when I do.

I also got a fast drying nail spray, that was what I was originally going for but got a tad distracted.

Weekend Nails

On Friday night we had a pretty cruisy night. Got pizza, watched a movie and I did my nails.

I went for this bargain L'Oreal Titanium polish in colour 705. It's a really deep purple with the smallest specks of glitter. In the light it looks like a blood colour.

Last night I added OPI's Teenage Dream polish to my ring finger for an accent nail. I did about 3 coats over the purple polish. What do you think? Does my accent nail look like a disco ball?

This week... Zumba and dinners

I really haven't blogged this week but I have really wanted to! I would normally post while I'm 'working' but this week has just been crazaaay!

Nothing too interesting today. I still haven't decorated my shelves from the last post because I don't have enough books here so I'll have to go and get them from my mum's place. I also want to get some nice things to put in there so I might concentrate on it this week.

Well this week I've cooked dinner 3 times (oh yeah, that's an achievement for me). My boyfriend, lee normally cooks. Because he likes it plus he's good at it. But he's really busy with work that I feel bad making him cook all the time. I made these massive Chilean hot dogs and they were delish. A really mouthful (that was so lame but I'm still laughing at it haha).

Oh and I've been going to the gymAlmost every night to do Zumba. It's so fun and my girls comeToo so it's good to see them. Does that mean I can eat what I want.... Well no but I still doo! Oops!Last night about 10pm I was craving tim tams with a glass of milk so my lovely lee went and got me some. Oh I get so spoilt.

The other night I made fettucini, with chicken in a mushroom sauce (I cheated, it was pre made Chicken Tonight sauce) and added some asparagus on top to make it look gourmet haha.

So, it's Friday arvo and I can't wait for the weekend to begin... wait isn't that a song? :)

Decorating Bookshelves

My boyfriend and I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment so we have a lot of issues when it comes to storage and space. Most of our furniture is from Ikea because they are so good for storage and not expensive.

As our place is so small we are using my iMac as a TV so it is in the lounge room on some bookshelves I got from Ikea (where else?). It is the first thing you see when entering the house so I want to make it look really goods. I have some ornaments, photo frames, vases and books to go in there so let's hope it looks nice.

I have been looking for inspiration online and can't find anything that matches the image in my head... so I think I'll just have to use that haha.

I'm going to give it a go tonight (hopefully) so I'll show you what I come up with.

January Glossy Box

This month's glossy box took a bit longer than normal to come. I like it when I arrive home and I have a surprise parcel, it makes me feel like it's my birthday. My boyfriend and I are on a budget at the moment to save to buy a house. This means that I have to watch what I buy so Glossy Box is my gift to myself each month.

I didn't really love this month's glossy box to be honest but I guess that's the beauty of not knowing what you're getting each month.

Anywho, here's what I got in mine:

Oh and there were also some Australian stickers with the flag but I gave those to my cousin who its travelling and found them to be a novelty.

Happy Aussie Day & pretty summer dresses

Today is Australia day and I don't have to work, woohoo! I don't know what to do today since my boyfriend worked night shift last night he will probably want to sleep all day (boring).

Might try rearrange my house around, clean my makeup brushes (this task is very overdue), and watch some trash tv. If it's still nice out later might walk down to the beach. We live about a 15 minute walk from the bay so I should make the most of it as we are thinking of moving mid year to a bigger place which will probably be no where near the beach.

But before I get all productive with my day I'm going to share some beautiful summer day dresses I love.

OPI Rainbow Connection

i recently bought OPI's Rainbow Connection. It's so colourful and looks so fun. The bad thing is that it took about 4 coats of it for the colour to look decent!

I actually bought it to wear on Christmas day but I completely forgot about it and went for a nude instead to go with my dress.
